74 JDM Celica GT...currently being worked on by a restoration company here locally. They have to clean up the body, wiring, and paint. I swapped out the suspension that I bought from T3 in Cal. When I get it back have a few upholstery projects needing done and I'll put everything back together.

Put a new suspension in, reupholstered the seats, got new trim, badges, seals, carbon fiber hood, trunk lid with spoiler, 14" RS watanabe wheels, toyot R888 proxies tires

There are a lot of nice models they are importing for nice prices. I could have just gotten one cheap and shipped for free. Money is always the kicker. There was some sneaky (brilliant?) ways to get around the 25 yr law as well, but the classics are more my style.

The 08 4Rnr had a daystar spacer lift. The LC has no lift. Not planning on modding it...the 18 4Runner has an OME BP51 lift with heavy load springs. The BP51 has been good to us so far.

The previous owner bored the 1.6L 2TG motor to a 1.8L. I will keep the motor but will likely upgrade the mikuni solex side drafts from a 40mm to a 44mm plus look at going with the 3T crankshaft and bore to a 2.0L. I don't want to modernize the car to much. I like the performance as is. Loud, carbureted, no radio, speakers, power steering, etc. Just a 5 spd and rwd...same reason I like the 2018 4Rnr. Basic and enjoyable...

Went with a Kameari racing exhaust system with a new race performance exhaust manifold, adding the badges back to the vehicle, replated the chrome bumpers, will reupholster the rest of the interior, zero sound deadening, adding borla caburetor stacks.

Once everything is done then I will go in and see what was done with the engine. Bought the car from JDM Legends owner Eric Bizek 6 yrs ago.

If someone totals out my runner I will be greatly considering this route. But, for now I have too much into this ****er to switch. Was upside down from the start like a jabroni. All about getting out and enjoying what I’m thankful enough to own.

Worked with on a similar period datson here and there. Mostly the owner if I’m honest. Got to do a mini rip in it with the owner before the first person who borrowed it totaled it Heart breaking. You’re Celica reminds me so much of that Datsun. Maybe better made? Idk never worked on one.

Yeah I love the car...love Fairlady Zs bro. My buddy has a 75 280Z that's going through the restoration process. He is actually converting it back to carburetors.

My hood is toast...had to order a carbon fiber hood because I was unable to find one intact. I think all 70s period Japanese cars looks effing great. Would love to own a Hakosuka or Kenmeri Skyline or even a Corona mkII.

As far as the 70 series...I'm with you. Maybe down the road pick on up. I also keep an eye out on BaT.

I love the Z's. I have a 1967.5 Datsun Roadster sitting in the garage. It needs a major restore but life just keeps getting in the way.
