damn, im drooling! thats a sweet ride!!

im a sucker for old school yotas, my dad had a 76' Corolla SR swapped with a 2tg on and mikuni or solex side draft carbs...cant remember. i used to find his 13' 'banana style' wheels funny when i was a kid coz they were so tiny. but growing up, i realized they were period correct for the era. if he still had it, i wouldve totally bought it from him and put work equip 01 wheels on it.

I have mikuni side draft...I hear ya bro. I love old school 70s and 80s Japanese cars. Love Work Equip wheels...but decided on RS Watanabi wheels. I will post pics once completed.

What lift did you go with? I like that Venture edition; considered one myself but instead went standard Off-road Premium

been absent for a while

I haven't posted here for quite a while and for the past year or so I've been focusing on my other (actual) project car, since the Runner is the daily. Here's a few randoms from the past little while though!

2018 Off Road Premium w/30k miles (original owner)

Thank you to all the posters on this forum...I'm one of those guys that read through it them and learned so much. I didn't contribute much at all and this made me feel guilty. I hope this helps someone out there in some way.

I had the dealer park the Barcelona Red and Gray Metallic because I was so torn between the two colors. Well, you can see what ended up with.

Mods far:
Sound deadening to all 4 doors and rear hatch (be careful not to put too much deadening material on the rear hatch as the weight to can hinder the lift support performance). There's no need to go crazy on the stuff--it's overkill and counterproductive. No doubt it makes a significant different in ride/sound quality.
Plug and play OEM Audio plus--big boost in sound quality over the stock.
Black American flag decal
Weather tech window and sunroof guard (I purchase hood too but decided not to install yet). These guards are awesome--especially the sunroof.

Future mods:
TRD skid plate
Roof rack
Black front and back blacked out valance

Ownership review: The 4Runner is a superb all-around utility vehicle that make s me feel very confident of whatever task is in front me. It's a heavy truck and drives likes one. The brakes are on the soft side. Overall, I love the looks and performance of it...I get lots of compliments.
