Trail Edition in the Snow

This is from back in February as the nearly over 2 feet of snow began to fall. I had just put a set of Dueler Revo 2s on the day before, so glad I got rid of the crapy stock tires they came with. The handling in the snow was outstanding.

I have to say, I'm really jealous of you guys getting TEs. I'd love to get one, simply based on looks alone, but it's about $5k out of my price range. :crybaby:

Ditto - I like the look of the TE, I wanted one too but after test-driving I realized that I don't go off-road enough to justify having quite that much capability for what the TE is built for, and I do like having the leather seats. Otherwise, I like the toned-down, trim appearance of the TE. The black fender trim on the TE makes it look a little slimmer...I think the SR5 looks really large compared to past 4Runner generations.

Enzo - your pics ALMOST makeme wish for some snow again to test out my new SR5, but after shoveling all that snow this past winter, I'll wait it out awhile longer!

Do you have pics of the revos in warm weather? curious to see how they look on the Trial.

if thats what u really want save a little more. u wont want buyers remorse especially if u drop 30k or so and wish u paid a little more....

Yep, this is my thing. We're having our first kid this week and I have a feeling those leather seats are going to come in pretty handy down the road. :barf:
I also think the SR5 will be a slightly better road trip truck, based on a number of things I've read about the highway ride.

Very cool TE! Too bad you can't get the TE without the cargo tray. Can't wait to see the pup in it, she'll love the power roll-down rear window!

Just picked this up about 2 weeks ago and love it. My dogs love it too, they don't want to get out when we get home. I thought I'd need a ramp for them as it's much higher then what they are used to getting into, but they didn't need it.

Got the Husky weatherbeater floorliners for the front, rear, and cargo mat also, they fit like a glove and don't feel slippery when driving.

Mountaindog- I got the huskyliner mats too for front, back, and cargo and must agree, these are the best thing that I have bought for it....especially with dogs. :biggrin2:

I went with the E load.

The tire guy was telling me there are more differences than just the ply count. The E actually uses a different compound, harder I believe, that wears longer.

He also said to rotate them very frequently, since cupping is an issue with these.

Got it about a month ago, loving this truck. Had a rodeo (bleh) and a grand cherokee (ok) before this. My first car ever was a corolla, so technically not my first time in a toyota. But I've been wanting a 4runner for many years, and now here we are.

Here's some more. Next time I'll try to keep the other riff raff out of the frame.

Hey Skel, looks like you are at North Park (or another county park)? If so, did I pass you on Saturday/Sunday on Route 19 in Cranberry? I looked over at the person and it looked like they were looking back. Congrats on the purchase. I'm sure you are enjoying yours because I cannot get enough of mine.

Make sure they are @ 44 psi when cold, to account for the difference between passenger and light truck tires.
