What's the trick to loading pics on this board? I have some great TE pics but they are all too large to upload apparently.

How do I do this?

Excellent pics! - Great focus and color saturation. Wish I could take photos like that!

If you haven't already figured out, you simply post the following IMG Code from Photobucket (which appears to the left of the image in Photobucket) - copy the code and paste it into message editor on this forum. I've added spaces, so you can see the code.

New Member 2010 TE Pics

Thanks fxoffroad for explaining how to post pics. I been using the attachment manager with files I downsized to way below the forum standards and still could not post. Been trying for about a week. Here are some pics of my new 4Runner

No offense but I think buying the 5th gen. immediately is a bad move. Doing that you are buying it most expensive. You are also buying the 1st kind, so bugs/upgrades haven't been worked out which would be in a year or two.

Why would you come into the 5th gen area of this forum and post this?

I surely get it: Be careful when buying the 1st iteration/major update of ANY car. I, like a few others that have owned 4Runners, or Toyotas, or Jap cars in general, know that this is not exactly like getting into a 2010 Jeep Cherokee. Toyota has a pretty strong record of building cars/trucks that tend to last. Sure there may be some bugs.

My question is, why did you take time away from your internet porn and microwave hot pocket to post this?

Emergency tow success!

Was towing gf's boat back from lakehouse with dad's excursion today when the Ford pos decided it wanted to tool out and start smoking out the exhaust along with loss of engine power..(supposedly a crankshaft timing problem?) Anyway, quickest option was for me to get a ride home and go back and rescue the boat with my 4runner. Such a beast. No problems whatsoever towing the X15.

Only other 5th Gen I've seen leave Terra Firma is the Baja TE rig that was in the Baja 1000 race last year.

They came in second in the Baja 1000 and I believe they came in second to you on launch height pic also!
Somebody might have launched higher but without pics to prove it.......well ,it just did'nt happen! Congrats!

These are a few things that I would do if you plan on doing that again. Its only a matter of time before people start tweaking frames. Only time will tell.

I really like your ride in particular the tire selection and the black rims...(except for the leather interior...but that is just me)

what tires are those and how much do they run for (if you do not mind)


what did you do with the stock rims??.....I ask cause I have a sr5 salsa red but I really dig the Trail stock rims over the sr5 rims (although I really dislike the limited rims so I'm glad at Toyota's decision regarding the stock sr5 rims)

They are the Toyo Open Country M/T 265/70R17. They were ~ $295/ea via Les Schwab, which isn't bad, considering they put my stock rims on my studded snow tires at no charge.

No- the leather seats have the airbags in them.
