Went racing this weekend in the 24 hours of Lemons @ No Problem Raceway in Donaldsonville, La. Used the 4 Runner as a tent for the first time. I had to apply some cushion to the unevennessbash between the 2 row and 3rd row seat; other than that, I have to say it was nice and cozy :sleepy:! Here are some crappy iPhone pics of the site. Normally I drive for the Civic team(Breast Friends ), but the Mustang team (TDH) needed another driver so I jumped over.

I just pull the lever on top of the seats and they flopped down.

2010 Silver TE....

Just purchased a Silver TE and love it. We recently moved from the front range of CO to the western part of Kansas so I had to do my shopping via the Internet and I think it paid off. List was $38,549 and I was able to get it for $36,185 OTD (w/o sales tax). Since I purchased it in Santa Fe, NM I will have to pay sales tax in KS. (Options are FE, DJ, EC, CP, KD, TE, CF, DK, E5)

We drove it around Santa Fe then up to Colorado Springs. We played each day outside and had the opportunity to test out the 4WD features and was very impressed. I am switching from a daily driver 2003 Honda Element and a 1991 FJ80 Land Cruiser as my mountain truck to this truck for all occasions.

I usually like to get 200K or 10 years from my vehicles but this one will have to go 10 years or 300K due to the cost! I don't think it will be a problem.

Anyhow...great 4Runner forum and thanks for all the info and sharing.

No offense but I think buying the 5th gen. immediately is a bad move. Doing that you are buying it most expensive. You are also buying the 1st kind, so bugs/upgrades haven't been worked out which would be in a year or two.

well i also bought a new 5th gen about six months back and i luv. i thought about the bugs being worked out to but its the same chasis as the fjcruiser motor, trany, drivetrain, suspension is all exact same. and i think the fj has proven itself well
