No, I had it shipped in by truck from Boulder, CO. Did they have one up in Humble??? I scoured the internet long and hard before buying out of state sight unseen, but to no avail. It was well worth the wait though. Ended up having KDSS, remote start (which turns out is useless), and a rear view camera built into the rear view mirror. Needless to say I was super excited.

No I thought you was bc I saw the red plastic dealer plate in the front. Lol the remote start is not completely useless but it is kinda dumb that it turns of when you unlock the doors. Well at least you got what you wanted.

Defiant Light Bar

Installed my Defiant light bar over the weekend - big props to Paul at Defiant...excellent craftsmanship - built SOLID! Looks even better in person, but here are a few pics. I have some cheap Bajas on there on the inner tabs from my truck...will be getting some better PIAs (or something) soon. Oh, and I also took off the factory rack (bought the cover brackets) and will be soon adding a Baja short rack.

Which endcaps did you go with? Are they the ones that have "Defiant" engraved? Hard to tell with the photos...

These do look much better in person! I was impressed when I saw kraeken's... Need those PIAA's!!!

I got the satin black caps with 'DEFIANT' on them. And yes...PIAA's coming soon...gotta do some research first, but I am very impatient! This thing looks great in person, as you said, and SOOOO much better than any bull bar you can buy.

I'm very interested in that Defiant light bar, do the brackets fit through the grill? Do you have that bottom grill removed, it's sort of hard to see w/ the pictures. Can you take a few more detailed pics?

Yes...you mount two main brackets on the actual frame...the arms are connected to the light bar and actually thread the bottom grill, so no removing or cutting. Connects to the main bracket on the frame with 4 bolts on each side. I can send more pics and info...PM me with your email.

Looks great. How long did it take to get your lightbar? Paul said mine was off to powdercoating late last week.

I would assume it will be shipped this week. I know he was backlogged a bit due to breaking is leg (shop accident - but he is better now!). Once mine went to powder coating it shipped about 5 days later or so...after they inspect and wrap. You will love it..looks sooo good in person.

Can't wait. I just did the H9, HIR1 upgrade. I should have plenty of light with the 4 Hella 500's (converted to HID) that I will run. Sort of like my Tundra set up (Hella 1000's w/HID conversion).

More rubber on the ground... 275/55R/20 I think it looks better, and handling doesn't seem to be a problem since me and the wife took a little 130 mile round trip to dinner last night. I've already put about 200 miles on them, and the paper is still stuck to the threads :wtf:

Hey Renegade- can you give us the story behind these wheels and tires? Brand, size, offset, rubbing issues etc. I LOVE this look. Congrats!

just picked this up for the wife, sad part is, she doesn't like it nearly as much as i do. she wanted an explorer or acadia.

I like it - looks exactly like mine. Except I had the exact opposite problem as you. When I had to replace the Explorer (after the second transmission rebuild, BTW), I was looking to get a Tahoe. She's the one that nudged me to get a 4runner. The weird thing is, now I'm the one that LOVES it and she would rather have something else. I still don't understand why? I think her deal is she really wants something with a manual. Maybe we'll have to get her an FJ? I hear those can be had with a manual, right?

Mods, blacked out remaining emblems and tail lights, tinted windows, new louder PIAA horn, Weathertech headlight covers and sunroof deflector, side window deflectors, cut down antenna to more reasonable height, N-Fab nerf bars, Viper 5902 alarm, Dynamat, Grillcraft grill, Phillips H.I.D. low and high beams, Weld Stonecrushers 20x10 wheels, Terra Grappler 305/50R 20.
Still deciding ARB or ToyoLift, thinking ARB. Also Shockworks front bumper with wench. Want 4" of total lift. Wish I would have waited for shockworks slides instead of N-Fab, weren't available when I purchased last year. Anyone wanna trade nerf bars? Plus finishing my soundsytem but need help with wiring schematics of new runner. Already have system just don't know color codes, any help?
