60” Rhino Rack on Backbone?

Has anyone put their 60x49” pioneer platform on the backbone system? Looks like the backbone sides are about 70” in length so I wonder if it would look odd.

I have a sunroof which I would prefer to not cover up which is why I’m thinking 60” length which is enough for my needs.

If anyone has pictures they would be greatly appreciated!

btw did you try it? exactly the setup I want.

so I got the mid size platform with backbone. Covered too much of the sunroof for me. Tried to live with it for about 4-5 months....then went to home depot and bought a circular saw and aluminum cutting blade. Now it doesnt cover my sunroof :)

Why not just mount the 60” platform to the stock rails? Just need two cross bars and you’re all set. Save some money from not having to get the backbone and labor from removing the stock rails. Just as sturdy in my opinion.

I have the 76 x 49 with backbone on my 4Runner.

Although it covers a large portion of the moonroof, it does not get in the way.. you can still fully operate the moonroof open/tilt functions without issue

IMO the 60" tray will look a bit 'short' up there with the backbone setup

actually, cross bars are not needed. i mounted the clamps straight to the rack.
