6th Gen 4Runner- First Look

Much to my surprise, I got to see a new 6th gen 4Runner for the first time while I had some work being done on my 5th gen and wasn't impressed at all. Lots of cheap plastic components all in and around this vehicle. Has a new modern look on the inside, but just felt cheaply made. I think Toyota dropped the ball on this model run. Mechanic also told me that they were seeing some tranny problems with these vehicles too. I hope Toyota does some much needed improvements on the 2026 run of the 4Runners.

the attractiveness of a vehicle to me that is not a super car is indirectly proportional to its cost. so ya, I don't find any new vehicles today attractive. the new sequoias in Canada , the TRD ones, I've seen some listed for 120k.

owning a house without being in debt for an entire lifetime is one feat that is slipping away quickly for young people today. next its going to be owning a decent car without 200k miles on it for under 20k. there are used 4runners with almost 200k miles on them going for $14K - $20K up here. Im pretty sure my parents bought their new camry off the lot when I was a kid for $20k and drove it until well after I moved away from home

I was giving the new model a year to work out the bugs.
Beside maturity, the prices are pretty out of line. A SR5 to TRD versions is a huge jump for mostly vanity I guess.

I have a 2013 4runner with 180K on the clock, looked to buy a new 2025. But after looking at a few 6th gen 4runners I ended up buying a 2024 with 8k on the clock.
