7 DTC's read at one time

I went to look at and possibly purchase a 2004 SR5 V8 tonight. It was in very poor shape and I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. When I plugged in my cheap scan tool, it gave me these DTC's:
p0300
p0301
p0302
p0304
p0305
p0306
p0308

Does this mean that the only cylinders firing without a miss were cylinders 3 and 7? Believe me, it ran horribly with no power like the v8's have. But it still ran up and down the highway which surprised me. Anyone have an idea what's going on with this? It was terribly abused looking. The owner's "mechanic" told him that the CAT was the problem. Could it possibly have that many bad coils? Supposedly all new plugs. Anybody have any ideas?

A timing belt being off a little could cause the misfires. Has it been changed recently? CAT would cause no power but cat would be getting really hot if driven very long.

If someone pulled all the plugs and then cranked the engine with them out (perhaps to do a compression test) those codes would all show up. I know because I did exactly that. Just need to reset them and see if they come back.

I never trust "old" codes, because you really don't know when/how they occurred and what's been done since.

However, since the engine exhibits poor power, there may well be something else wrong. BTW, it's unlikely a bad cat would cause misfires. I'd consult a different (real) mechanic.
