72k Miles, 3rd Gen

Too high priced.

In my experience across many different vehicles, if miles don't run an auto down, Time will. So it'll still need maintenance and repairs. Luck and enjoy runnin'. :cowboy:

If this is the way the market is headed, I might be able to turn a profit after all if I ever sell my 3rd gen.....

My brother few years back got his 2007 4th gen at 100k miles for $17k out the door. No reason to spend that on a truck this old. The age hurts it more than the mileage.

Hey look only 72k! Better jump on that cuz we all know 3rd gens aren't known for their longevity and most never last past 150k and all the ones on craigs with 180k for 6k are total garbage derelict junk vehicles. :drum:

As already stated by Jayrolla, the truck is old and the residual value will be almost equal as a 150K 4Runner. You'd have to be completely bonkers to pay that. I would take the $15K and buy a GX470 or a 100 series LC.

Just picked up a 98 limited with e-locker in great shape w/117k for 8800.
West coast rig its whole life. Zero rust. Zero

It better have the max amount of high quality pictures for that price.
I can't knock the guy for trying. When it comes to the value of a rig, it's all dependent on who is looking to buy.
I hate the "what's my rig worth" questions, because there is really no right answer- it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay.
"You could get a newer generation for that price"
Okay, but is that what you want?
When I'm looking for a vehicle, I know exactly what I want; I don't say "I want a 4Runner- what's the newest 4Runner I can get for $10k?"
I'm sure not everyone does things just like I do, but I also know many people do.
I'm sure the seller won't get $15k, but he just might get $12-13k.

Colorado has its own market for 3rd gens....a heavily inflated market.

This was my experience as well. 3rd gen 4Runners must be the new YETI in Colorado. I was recently looking for a 3rd gen for our son's first vehicle and several potential vehicles popped up in the Kansas City area. Many that I inquired about were snatched up quickly by people from Colorado due to what they considered low prices. Almost every single one had rust issues underneath, they obviously didn't care.
