I am new to your forum and new to owning a 4runner. I have a '85 that I just got and have a problem with the 30 amp fusible link under the hood. When I have the e brake on and start the motor, take the e brake off and put it in gear and start to go it will stay on for about 10 seconds and then die and will not start again. It will turn over but won't start. I have replaced the link 3 times in the past 2 days and I just had to walk out of the desert today cuz it stranded me. Lucky it was only 2 miles to the house.
Any help doping out this problem would be helpful. I talked to the last owner and he has had zero problems with the fusible links.
