I picked up my 1990 4Runner 3.0 about a month and a half ago. It has 230K miles on it. I have all the service records for the car from the original sticker until now. At 183K the engine was rebuilt due to a bad valve in cyl 6.
Anyhow, I replaced the plugs, wires, distributor cap, as well as the fuel filter. The previous owner ran Royal Purple oil, so the I'm continuing to use RP. I make a point to let the truck warm up before I drive away in the morning.
When the engine is still semi cold, my 4runner will buck at slow speeds, usually around 2000 rpm and 25mph. If I give it some gas, the bucking goes away. When the engine is warm, the bucking is nonexistent unless I'm going up a long hill on the freeway. After performing the maintenance and researching stuttering/bucking on this forum, I'm thinking that it could be a problem with one of the injectors. Has anyone had similar issues? Any advice on how to proceed?
