91 4runner v6 misfiring ????

About a month ago i bought a 91 toyota 4runner that had a blown head gasket i fixed that already but when i fisrt started it it felt like it was misfiring or possibly out of time (doubt it but its possible) has brand new spark plugs and the wires are good so im not sure what the problem is , and once its warmed up at operating temp it start to turn off you have to give it gas evry minute or so so it wont turn off ,was thinking possibly injectors thank you in advance

whats your temp gauge saying? this sounds like your overheating, or have a sensor somewhere thats not pluged in

It's possible that your timing belt isn't correctly aligned, miss it far enough and the issues you're describing will occur.

i'd check the cam pulleys and timing belt to be sure everything is lined up.. he's right, a loose or misaligned timing belt could very easily be the problem. if you find a problem or have a question about timing feel free to post, i can walk you through it.
 
my temp gauge is at normal temp

Are you referring to your stock dash gauge? Or a real after-market mechanical gauge? Big difference (most of the time). I learned back in the late '70's to never believe a stock dash gauge, which is why I've always installed a/market ones in just about every vehicle I've ever had----and that even goes for my olde skool Alfas and Porsches..........
