91 T4r PLEASE tell me about these clicking fuel injectors

91 T4r with a ticking sound that increases as vehicle speed increases -

Maybe this is the injector issue i've been reading about - will changing the injectors stop the clicking? Or is it possibly a valve issue? please respond... thanks

That ticking could be "valve tap". I used to have it in my Bronco every once in awhile. When you hear that noise, change the oil.

I had this problem in my 91 T4R. It was the timing belt.

Ya, could be the lifters. Does it go away as the engine warms up??

Duralube fuel treatment will actually quieten down the lifters a little. It's the only treatment I ever used that did.

Otherwise if you get a stethoscope you should be able to tell if its the injectors or the valves.

- yes the injectors click, but this was a tap / click that increased upon acceleration - turns out its the donut on the drivers side where the manifold meets the exhaust -
