92 t4r power steering

My power steering went out about a week ago so I replaced the pump. Within the next two days the new pump started making noise so i rechecked the fluid and there was alot of air in the system. The system was bled when the new pump was installed. does what might be causing air to get back in the system?

I would bleed it again and see how it goes, it is possible that it wasn't bled all the way the first time. Bleeding that system can be tricky. If you are sure you have it bleed out well and you are still getting air in there...maybe a bad hose?

Are you bleeding it correctly, cranking the wheel from lock-to-lock repeatedly?

The best way to get all the air out of power steering system is to work the wheel backand forth with the engine off. This allows the air in sytem to get back to the resevoir without being cavitated into the fluid like a blender. To make this easier you may want to jack up the front end and take weight off . BTW did you buy a reman pump.....maybe cavitating due to a faulty seal in the pump. ONe last thing, why did the pump go bad to begin with? If it was catastrophic (metalflake in the fluid) you need to flush the power steering out until the fluid is clean and clear.
