Just read through your build, Nice! I have been inspired!
I have a similar setup; 3RZ, 5speed, mine has dealer installed 4.56's. But I have been wondering how much power I would loose stepping up to 285's. I want to, but not if it affects the drive-ability of my truck, it sees some longer highway trips and is my DD. Seems like, from what yo have done, it would be no problem.

Thanks for the compliment. If you drive in hills you'll notice power loss, otherwise you'll be fine. 4.56 with the manual is a rare combo, didn't even know it existed...that should help out a lot going to 285's. As heavy as I've made this thing, it was still able to pull a 3500 lb boat/trailer 55mph even up slight grades no problem...this original clutch is really hanging in there.
