97 headlights upgrade?

I've got a 97. Would like to upgrade to the newer generation type lights. Anyone know if it's an exact fit? Any suggestions on where to buy? Thanks!

yes, you can put in the '99 style projector lamps on any 3rd gen. here's a link to burtman industries but you can find these lights many places, including a junkyard if you want 'em cheap and dont mind getting used ones

I replaced the headlights on my '97 with the new multireflector style. The whole process took maybe 45 minutes. I ordered mine new from www.toyotaparts4u.com. Big improvement on looks! Other than removing the center grill, it is just a matter of taking off a few bolts.

I added the new lights on mine as well.

Expect about a 15-20% improvement at night.
