99 4runner hesitation

99 4runner has a hesitation when u first hit the accelerator just added new plugs,fuel filter, pcv no change. no check engine light on. can anyone help

could it be that when i cleaned my k&n filter a few mths ago i put a little to much oil on it and it has my mass air flow sensor all gunked up? Should i clean it? Heard they are very sensitve and not to even mess with it !:fishing:

MAF Cleaning

You should definitely clean your MAF sensor. It's a quick, easy fix and a good place to start with engine hesitation.

yep, clean it, search the forum for a write up and have at it.
also tighten your throttle cable they tend to be a bit stretched after ten years or so.

that's free and about 20 seconds of time to get a better response from the pedal, so why not huh?

I cleaned the MAF and adjusted the throttle cable so far so good no more hesitation thanks to all
