I went to my local dealership to get a price on coils/shocks to replace the ones on my recently purchased 4Runner (the ride height is fine for me with stock 99 coils). Unfortunately, it was going to be ~$800 CAD just for the coils, while I could get an entire OME suspension system for ~$800 US (I have a friend to whom I can mail things to avoid duty).
My concern is that I don't want to lose any height (nor gain much either). I emailed someone at Toytec a few days ago to see what they recommend for my situation but haven't heard back, so I thought I'd try here.
I am thinking 883s in the front since I do intend to have a winch bumper, and 890s in the rear with 60028 medium shocks since I will be hauling around 4 jerry cans of fuel and camping gear on extended trips (and if it's only 1" of rake from back to front with 890s instead of 906s I'm not too concerned...).
Stock coils likely wouldn't be enough for a winch bumper nor the amount of gear/fuel I intend to carry on some adventures, so maybe it's better that they're so expensive in Canada.
Thoughts?
