99 Limited Sport Supercharged - Sputtering Engine????

Okay everyone, I am newly registered for the forum, but I have been on here for the last few months lurking and finding all the answers I have needed up until now.

I have the gray 1st generation supercharger on my truck. I bought it with 125k miles and have put only another 3k in the last 2 months....I have no fuel mods or anything else to compensate for the SC....I know I need to make some modifications there ASAP. However, I would only notice fuel cutting/sputtering when I would be on the freeway and if I put the gas pedal down to accelerate hard....otherwise if I gently press the accelerator it will drive very smoothly.

Now yesterday I left my house and within a few blocks the sputtering started at all RPM's and speeds. Now it sputters when it is idling. I know this must be some type of fuel supply issue.

Can anyone give me some advice on what I can check to fix the problem? I want to add all the extra mods I need, but even without them up until yesterday the truck drove extremely smooth as long as you don't slam down the gas pedal all the time. I just dont have all the money to add the bigger injectors and the other stuff I would need.

Could this just be a fuel pump going bad or possibly a bad/clogged injector or fuel filter?? This is my daily driver and I need to get her fixed for work this week Thanks in advance for any help!!!

Any check engine lights? Also, do you know when was the last time it had a tune-up (new plugs/wires?).

That doesn't necessarily sound like fuel to me. Sounds like a really bad misfire.

No Check engine lights. I just picked up some NGK plugs that a re a step cooler from stock which were in the truck currently. I also got some wires. I am going to try this tonight and see what happens. I will post. Thanks again!!

Just finished the NGK plugs and wires. No difference. I have a fuel filter I am going to do in the morning. So weird it just came out of no where. Just left my house and stopped at a light and started running rough....If it's not a fuel pump/injector issue - Maybe it is something in the coils? I noticed one of the coils had been replaced by the PO at one point....By the way, is it strange that I do not have any check engine lights? - OKAY SOOOOOO, I thought I did a double check on the wire routing and apparently I should of done a triple check!! I had a plug wire crossed!! So after my new plugs and wires my truck runs like it did before. All the plugs looked burnt considering they were the stock heat range instead of a step down for the SC.

Mr. Bob, have you checked out any of Gadgets website? He has a WEALTH of information that may be useful for you, when you decide to get some fuel mods going.
