Georgia, but even with shipping from here you'd be under $200 and I *strongly* suspect that most Toyota dealers will get close to matching costs.

you guys are so lucky...I have only one dealer for over 300 miles, and he charges about 20% over MSRP...so those radiators would be about 200

there was a discussion about toyota dealer radiator....there are 2 kinds for same car... one expensive and other one cheap.... Parts guy saying the cheap one denoted by AZ as made in china Denso... and other expensive one as made in Japan.....

and another mentioned that Koyo is still cheap but some of them or all are still made in Japan ones...

If I were you... I would get the Japan Koyo one over the Chinese Denso from dealer, rock auto or amazon...

I have a Koyo that i put in my 05 sienna at 90k miles and now at 245k miles...still going good.. made me a believer in Koyo brand....unless they also moved theirs to China made.

I just had too many auto made in china parts fail that I avoid them as much as possible.... they don't believe in long quality reliability parts, only $$$ profits..

I got my Denso from the dealer in SF for around $115.00 & they said there is no longer a Japanese-made OEM version. The Denso is made in Taiwan, not the mainland. Big difference for me. I would buy a Koyo or Champion before a Mainland PRC product. If they fully strangle Taiwan, I will stop buying there as well, but I'm a weirdo.

BTW, SF Toyota only has good prices for online items that are 'shipped'. The shipping charges are ridiculous, so what they did for me was let me pick up the radiator at the Geary service center and they refunded the shipping charge at pickup.

We have "those" dealers here too. Toyota counter parts guys call it Matrix pricing for walk in customers. I asked them to explain what is Matrix pricing and if I could just pay the published list price. They just snicker as if matrix pricing was an inside secret.

I like when stealerships do the right thing and totally help out customers with pricing.
A stealership here saw my matrix pricing disappointment and whispered how I can get close to internet pricing over the counter there. The sad part is, parts will only be available when they get to it within a day.

well I was wrong.....the local ( and only dealer) wants more than 20% over msrp.....so radiator from them is 219 and he does
not have in stock
Aftermarket up here runs about 190. (Autozone duralast, Orielleys murry brand)
The local Napa sells the denso and stocks it at 208.

yes I can get from amazon, the biggest problems with denso is the crappy packaging Denso does, and everytime I got a denso from amazon in the past there has been issues with bent fins, broken spout, and thats when I lived in Oreogn, cant imagine what problems to ship to me here in alaska

Mine arrived just fine, went with the slightly more expensive 'prime' denso so there would be no cost to me if returns were needed. Been a couple years but it was about $110 then. Running like a champ!

Rad replace is a really easy job. I got an OEM (in 2013) and it was ≈$210 at that time. Now they're even cheaper...$121 at my local internet-enabled dealer.

I just did the same, Toyota here in SD had one for $117. Only took me an hour or so to do the job.

The dealership here in Sacramento quoted me $171.31 a few weeks ago for the AZ011 so I ordered from Camelback for $117.89 + $25 shipping. Out of curiosity I plugged in my own zip and found I could get it from the same local dealership for $116.91. Had no problem cancelling the Camelback order.

The local dealership guys told me they get a kickback from Toyota for parts ordered online. They were also adamant about the jiggle valve position in the FSM being a typo and warned me against installing in the six o'clock position. Glad I didn't take their advice.

Paid about $50 for hoses, $26 for ts, $5 for gasket, $25 gallon Toyota Red and $10 for 10 gallons distilled water.

The $17 I spent on the coolant funnel system was well worth it.

Biggest thing I learned was that I should have flushed the system before I swapped radiators!

Yup I got the same end result. Amazon, boxed up the Denso box and put a generous 10" x 18" sheet of bubble wrap in. Miraculously, the rad only suffered cosmetic damage during shipping. The Amazon packing was a joke.

Depending on what parts are being used he might not be that far out of line.

You've got 2 choices for OEM radiators, the original made in Japan Denso which has a $500+ MSRP, or a newer Chinese made Denso that was released later on as a lower cost option.

My local dealer wants $750+ for the job because they stock the Japanese radiator.

It was a valid question with a humorous edge. Sure, a radiator is a 'cooler' but a lot of us run transmission coolers in addition to the integrated one in the radiator.
