A couple questions on my 99

I have a 99 that has lost significant mpg's. I have replaced the spark plugs, the air filter is fine and the fuel filter is new. There haven't been any codes or check engine light on. I cannot figure out why this is happening. It seems like it happened rather quickly too. I used to average mid to high teens, now I am getting low teens. It has 182K on it. Any ideas?

Also, this came with stock running boards. I have taken them off but can't find mud flaps for the front that match up to the fender flares. The flares stick out more so than a 4runner that never had running boards but has mud flaps. Are there any flaps out there that will match up to the flares?

then next would be to replace the 02 sensor though it may not be throwing a code but really though the MAF, TB cleaning should make you happy.


as for the mudflaps question .... whatever you can dream up as teh stock ones are discontinued as it seems

I recently took the running boards off my 99' highlander and found these online. 1996-2001 Toyota 4Runner Mud Flaps Highland 1105200 - Mud Flaps - Highland

I'm still looking around a bit before I pull the trigger on these, but they look very sim.ilar to stock

If you have the black plastic SR5/Highlander flares (not just the little chrome strips) you can get the mud flaps that match from TRDparts4u.
