A little wiring help - main harness

As said before, YES! i should have taken more pictures. Finally reassembling our 99 with a reman "taco 5VZ" and locally rebuilt trans. Hopefully y'all can tell me the obvious - AGAIN!

The white wire coming off the main engine harness is baffling me. I didnt label it, meaning it ought be obvious - and it is not. It is the smaller of the two white wire, the larger bolts onto the bat positive connector.

Also, the terminal block on the fenderwell looks hokey, not M-I-J. The red wired definitely went to the BAT + . WTF is that for? I have already removed an alarm/remote what was effing things up when the truck was running, a lead is still clamped onto #1 injector wire. And a loudspeaker. ??

Looks like one of the wires that bolts into the big fuses in the fuse box. But I could be wrong.

Now that small white wire with that circuit breaker, isn't stock.

Funny, i popped the top of the fuse box and saw a post with a loose nut but there is no access for that wire. Stumped me. I will check underneath where the other connector goes.

You can pop out the inner fuse panel, it has 4 clips on the inside. Lift it out (w/batt disconnected) and you can see if there are any missing wires on those big fuses.

Yes the white and red wire on the fender isn't stock.

Keep an open mind. That is a circuit breaker - aftermarket style (not OEM).

You'll just have to trace where it goes. They are most often used for trailer wiring, from what I have seen - but somebody could have used it for something else (radio, amplifier, etc.)

Post a pic of the top of the fuse box with it open so we can see what you have going on in there.

for sure it runs into the cab and then out into a sheath which is the very poorly installed trailer harness.

and this MONGO fuse, which terminates to nothing but a butt end?? those aren't Japanese characters! Thats for some JUICe man, like a 15" sub.

In the fuse box, the nut on the stud was NOT that loose, but it was loose which got me thinking that is where the 2nd smaller white wire from the main harness attached to. Yet i cant see how it would have fed into the box itself.

Boy a wiring schematic would sure come in handy!

My age is getting to me. Of course, it was WELL over a year ago i pulled the old engine. Yet, i dont see the routing of that wire in my engine bay pic.

This has manuals for the 98 and 00, and this should allow you to get the exact manual.

Ok bare with me as I'm fighting a nasty flu/cold w/103 fever.

That white wire that has the black sheith does indeed go onto that stud you found partially loose. There is a small cover with serrations top right of the fuse box. Push up on that and the cover will pop off. Run that wire through and up to that stud. Reinstall that little cover you poped off, it will retain that wire. Refer to my screenshots I'll post up. Last 2 pics are your wire.
