I had all my original clips intact until just now. They had worked just fine for 16 years. But they are now completely brittle and pretty much crumble on their own. For $10.50 shipped, I got ten new OEM Toyota clips on e-Bay from a dealer. I'm good for another 16 years.

Every time I look at these things I keep wondering why they get so much hate. I don't mean to sound like a smartass, but I figured out how remove the grill without googling on my first try. If only all grills were that easy to remove.

Unless the 2001 grill is different than earlier ones you guys are doing it wrong. You push down the tab thing and pull. it doesn't even require a lot of force. than to install it snaps back in. It's okay you people are prolly just over complicating things because you expect it to be harder. Or the earlier models are just a lot harder...

First time ever seeing these clips, took me a few minutes to get it off, busted a couple of them but they are also 15 years old and have never been removed.
