A new 4Runner versus a similarly priced used Land Cruiser

With $38K to spend would you prefer a new 2016 4Runner or a 2008 Land Cruiser in good condition and low mileage? Can you tell me why?

Besides the fact that the new style 4runners are looking bad a$$, if you purchased a new 4tunner you would be 8 years ahead of the game in regards to rust/corrosion issues Toyotas have always been known to have. Just something I would consider if I were in your shoes.

08 Land cruiser is nice but Id prefer the 4runner primarilly because of one if not the most important thing for Off-Roading: Rear differential Lockers.

If you buy a Trail than you have factory lockers. Makes a huge difference off roading. Both has ATRAC but I think it turns off when you're on 4 low. Just my thought.
