Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has noticed their ABS relay (ABS SOL) getting hot?.. is it normal? (green relay in the fuse box next to the battery)
And can I swap the relays to see if it changes anything? The three (green, pink, blue) are all labeled '12v ABC (TRC) Relay', but have different part numbers.
The lights all came on and then I noticed it was hot (after they went on) Normally, when the lights go on, you can disconnect the battery and they'll be off until you start driving and use the brakes. I disconnected the battery and they were on when I reconnected so I feel it's something electrical rather than a sensor. The ABS Pump is still working and I have brakes. I replaced the rear brake pads a (after the lights came on) and the brake feeler put a gouge in the rotor, but the ABS sensor reads the bearing so I don't think that could be the issue. Or could it? The same wheel is making noise still and could be a wheel bearing...or just the new pads grinding a bit on the uneven rotor.
Any insight will be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Eric
