ABS / TC/ Xmas tree but no CEL

I have the ABS etc lights on but no CEL codes. This happened after letting someone borrow the truck.

I first suspected some sort of physical damage to the wiring but I inspected the ABS wiring on both axles and it appears to be intact.

My code reader doesn't read anything from the ABS system.

What should I check next?

You say your code reader doesn't ready anything from ABS. Do you mean it doesn't find any ABS codes, or it just isn't capable of reading ABS? Those lights all come on when there is an ABS fault. My guess is you need to get a reader to grab the stored ABS codes.

My code reader just doesn't have any ABS-related functions.

Can anyone recommend a super super super cheap reader that can do ABS stuff? I will never use it again other than for this one issue.

Autozone can read ABS codes. Until you get the codes read, try disconnecting the battery to see if the lights come back.
