AC overheat Safety
So this past weekend I took my runner out muddin this weekend. I got into quite a nasty hole. The mud came over the hood of the car. I did make it through the hole but after I made it through I noticed my engine temp creeping up. So I drove back to camp. It never got to the red and never boiled over. I got the big clumps of mud off it but somehow i got mud on the back of the radiator, and did not notice that till this week when i was creeping back up on the temp per my drive home. So i got all the mud of of the radiator wed this week. Now during this episode my ac does not work when the car is not moving. It will turn on and turn right back off. But when its moving or when the engine is above 1500 RPM it works fine. Toyota said it is their emergency shutoff to prevent extra stress on the engine when it overheats. Now I got the engine running at normal temp again, but the AC is still disabling its self when come 2 a stop.
Any ideas??
