Acceleration vibration after lift

Installed ome 880 and 906 springs with bilstein 5100 shocks on my 02 2wd t4r. After installation I noticed a vibration in the gas pedal when I take my foot off the gas pedal. Most of the threads I looked at had vibrations when the gas was being applied. I had a front end allignment done a couple days after which seemed to help a little but it's still noticeable. Any advice?

I am not a mechanic (or even very intelligent).

That said, I'd grease the drive shaft before doing anything else. U-Joints until the old stuff bleeds out, and the "slip" joint (I think that's what it's called) until the shaft extends a cm or so.

Congrats on being 2WD... A diagnosis should be exponentially less difficult.

how about tire balance? are your tires rubbing on anything like the UCA? Check for loose bolts, etc from the lift. LBJ, UBJ, etc

There was very slight rubbing I noticed with the front left tire when I had the wheel turned all the way to the right, like when pulling into a parking spot. That was before I had the allignment, when the front tires were tilted more to the right to begin with. Haven't noticed anything since. I'll look into greasing the driveshaft, haven't ever done it so need to learn how.

How's the clearance on your exhaust? I had a vibration from contact with the rear cross member. It radiated through the whole truck and was pretty loud, but sounded like it was coming from the front while inside. It only occurred when in drive, and only when stopped or just starting to move so a really minor change in position made it go away. Had to employ a friend to sit in the truck on the brakes since it would not do it in neutral or park. Maybe you bumped it out just out of where it's supposed to sit while working on it.

If the 2wd driveshaft is stock, there are no Zerk fittings in the U-joints from the factory.

Some possibilities for vibration after the lift:

The U-joints are worn and need to be replaced.

The U-joints are operating at an angle too great to do so smoothly.

The U-joints at either end of the driveshaft are operating at different angles, setting up a vibration.

The slip yoke has backed too far out of the transmission, and is not sufficiently supported by the output bushing, and is wobbling.

The slip yoke and/or trans output bushing are excessively worn, causing a wobble, and need to be replaced.

i think its the u-joints on your driveshaft...
i felt vibrations when i let go of the gas tho. Try greasing the u joints, and if you take the drive shaft off make sure to mark the drive shaft so it goes in the exact same way it came out. If that doesn't help, you probably have to replace the u-joint (cheap parts)
