Accident!

Tonight I was going down North Ave. right near the Varsity (in Atlanta) and this girl in a newer VW Jetta pulled out in front of me and stopped in the middle of the lane (I can understand why, an ambulance had just passed and you could hear the siren but couldn't see it, I think she thought it was coming from behind) but none the less I hit the corner of her bumper. (I didn't get a pic of her car but the bumper was smashed in and the exhaust was bent a little) it bent the piece under my headlight, tweaked the fender a bit and knocked a plastic piece that was under the bumper out. The bumper is bent, and is loose. That's most of the damage, I'll post some better pics tomorrow. That all the damage I could see, but it hasn't been put on a lift and completely inspected. On top of this I had a full bottle of tire shine spill all in the back, covering the carpet, tailgate weatherstripping, and 4Runner mat. Hopefully tomorrow is better than today has been.

Also noticed that when I went to Kroger early this morning the headlight is wayyyy out of alignment. Like it's pointing wayyy down and so far to the right I can see everything on the shoulder. We decided against calling the cops since the damage was so minor (I was also in a rush to get to the funeral home since my God Mother just passed) but I will be calling mine and her insurance today and getting estimates. Looks like it might be worse than I thought - but I need to see it in the daylight to have a better judgement.

I'm sorry to hear about your accident, north ave is horrid. I'm planning on doing a write up and bed lining my trunk next weekend; if that's something you'd be interested in.

NOVA: where in Atlanta are you? I live just around Brookhaven, most likely moving south towards Stockbridge or around Jasper County. Like I said though she pulled in front of me and stopped. It was at the intersection of North Ave and Spring St near the Varsity, BP gas station with ridiculous prices. Right up the street from Tech. I've never seen your 4Runner though, it looks great. I love the reds Toyota uses, they always look great.
