Actual product/part numbers to use on SS black paint

Ok, I know that this does not apply specifically to 3rd gens, or to 4runners for that matter, but I've seen posts like this before, and there's always a lot of confusion. Google has a lot of info, but still, confusion.

I have Black SS paint. I'm wanting to 'fix' the bird droppings, slight scratches, etc.

What do I do/use? Not just a 'grab some compound and a foam pad and scrub', answer, but what do I actually do?

Closest I've heard is 'use Meguiars Ultimate Compund with a foam pad'. Close, but no dice. What foam pad? There are several different Meguiars foam pads on the market. Then what?

I've seen a few MUC reviews online say to use Meguiars polish after, with cloth. What cloth?

Then there are online searches that have people mentioning blue, black, orange, etc foam pads.

Too much info to get a good idea, and I'm a very decent DIYer.

I know this is a really stupid post, and it makes me look like a complete imbecile, but can someone lay this out straight? Beginning to end.

Gimme full steps and part numbers, please.

If possible, list steps/PNs for both by hand, and with a polishing tool.

I like wizards products. 1. Because they are local to me 2. Because I've tried mothers and meguiars and I've had the best results with wizards. I'm gonna post a link to a kit that wizards sells. The only issue I have with it is that the DA polisher is really expensive. I bought a cheaper one at $150 compared to like $300. First you use the cutting compound with a cutting foam pad. Wipe off any residue with microfiber cloth. Then the nano wax with the orange foam pad. Wipe off with a microfiber cloth. Then do it all over again this time with the gray finishing foam pad. Wipe off with microfiber cloth. Then your done with the hard stuff. Final step is using their Mist 'n' Shine product. You spray it on then wipe off with a clean(emphasis on clean) microfiber cloth. One other thing I forgot to add in there is that the cutting compound gets its own microfiber cloth. The nano wax gets its own cloth and if it gets gummed up after the first time then you need to use a separate clean one for the second application. Then the mist 'n' shine gets its own clean cloth to finish.
