It takes 2 months to get these things made !?? I was told 4 weeks directly over the phone from Scotty himself...I thought that was long. Then I see on the website 4-6 weeks, so then I'm thinking 6 weeks MAX so I can make appointments to have the bumpers powder coated and sliders welded. Its now week 8 !!! still no bumpers, never can get ahold of Scotty to find out wtf is going on, and canceling appointments not to mention weekend after weekend of making plans just to be disappointed again and again.
I'm sure the product is great, but if you got monkeys working in the back and takes 2 months to build a metal bumper, JUST SAY SO and you won't have extremely frustrated customers calling and Emailing you everyday wondering when their bumpers are finished! Just good business practice not to lie to your customers!!! :lightsaber:

Name on the order? I don't exactly keep track of screen names and need to know a name to check status. I am pretty sure I have responded to every email, and have no voice mails from anyone that I haven't called or emailed back.

After doing some research, this must be Steve Greene.

Steve, I responded to your email today at 4pm. In it, I stated that your sliders and rear bumper are already done. I also responded last week with the same info. If you would like to come pick those up, then that is fine.

However, we are waiting on wings from press bend for plate bumpers that are supposed to be here early next week. That being said, you ordered these Feb 9th. We are currently in week 6 based on normal calender math. Remember that Feb is a short month.

Yes, I understand that next week is week 7 and I hope to have it ready for you as we are doing inventory next week to help get caught up.

FWIW, our turn times are estimates based on current order loads. That being said, its also tax season and we are experiencing more orders than usual. Still, we are doing our best to keep up.

questions concerns

I'm confused how you install the 3rd gen 4runner plate bumper. will I have to cut some metal? This is my favorite bumper but if I have to hack anything off to install it I might have to compromise for the less stylish cbi. I would like to be able to return my 4runner back to stock if I ever wanted to sell it, And then probably buy another 4runner.

That being said I don't mind doing a little trimming if I can still get the stock bumper back on. Are there Any links to in-depth install directions that I may have overlooked?

Pretty much every aftermarket front bumper won't allow you to go back to stock. The stock mounting system won't hold up to the task of winching IMO.

Thanks. Looks like I'll skip the bumper for now. once I beat my stock bumper up I'll be ordering one of these. Already got a nice bump in it as a start.
