Adding Cruise Control to a 2007 Surf / 4runner SSR-G

Hey All,

Thinking of getting a Surf / 4runner down under (ours come straight out of Japan and are called Surf SSR-G). Its the V6 4.0 5 speed auto.

It seems they do not come with Cruise control and I can not find any info on the web. Does anyone know if they are pre-wired for cruise control and all I need is to add a cruise control switch stick?? I would have thought they all get wired the same

Any help would be appreciated

IIRC, 4th gen is drive by wire. I don't have experience with T4R but I have added cruise control to a Ford which had drive by wire. It was done by swapping steering wheel to add cruise control buttons and then enabling cruise in the PCM. PCM was configured for cruise at the dealer. Sorry I can't be T4R specific.
