AFE Intake 2012-2015 vs. 2003-2009

Does anyone know what it would take to make a Later model AFE intake fit an early model 1grfe 4.0? (2005 4runner)

I have the opportunity to pick one up locally, just want to confirm whether or not fitment is feasible. Thanks

To be honest I kinda looks the same except for the smog pump relocation bracket (which mine doesn't have) and the wiring extension.

According to the manual it does look like its has a slight curve which I don't recall mine has, then again I do have that thing for a few years now so I might be wrong. I'll see if a take a picture later to compare.

Looks like you are in luck, a 5th gen came by my buddy's the shop a few months back and for some reason I took a pic, that's a 2010-2012 year if i'm not mistaken.

The second and third pic are the ones I have of my 03.

Thanks for the pics! However, it does look slightly different curvature.I think I may just have to buy and try to install to find out
