Aftermarket Front Valance?

Has anyone tried an aftermarket front valance with any success, like this TO1095178

My original one has a couple of "imprints" at the frame rails - I've been thinking of trying to heat and re-mold the valance, but seeing that aftermarket ones are selling for ~$25, already painted, I'm not sure it's worth the effort. And it's hard to find good one at the junkyard.

Any feedback on these aftermarket valances?

Rockauto.com is very reputable with parts and fitment. For $25, it wouldn’t hurt to try even if it didn’t work out. To answer your question, I’ve heard good things. I have there 99+ headlights on my 97 and fitment is perfect.

I bought this one and it fits perfect, not sure how good the plastic is but it looks good now.

$25??? sounds like a deal! I bought one off e-bay for my 99 3rz for around $90 in 2011. It fit OK, not perfect & faded from the sun quicker than OEM but it was worth the fix until I got my SW bumper in 2015. I sold my bumper & valance to a local for $75, so all was good.

Thanks for the feedback guys, good to know that you had luck with these valances. I figure this piece is 99.5% cosmetic anyway, so if the fit is good, and it doesn't fall off, that's good enough. Sure beats trying to reshape the OEM valance back into shape. I might want to paint it with something, to avoid fading.

I'm not completely clear on the difference between TO1095178 and TO1095176 (other than about $10); they both seem to fit Limited models, but one is dark gray and one is matte black. I'll probably just get the cheaper one, and use the savings towards paint.

I'll hold on to my valance for a little longer, since I want to cut it to install some Hella foglights under the bumper - might as well experiment with the piece that I plan to get rid of, rather than a new valance. But when I'm ready, I'll grab one of these aftermarket ones and see how they fit.

The ones CARID sells fit pretty well. Expect to do some fitting. Be weary of ones made for flare fender cars vs non-flare

I've painted mine when I was still running a stock bumper, it was easy to do and looked much better than when it was faded.

I got mine off of eBay for $33 shipped. It installed easily with my limited. I just had to drill a hole on each side for my fender flares. Here it is modified with my new lights.

Can you point me to the listing that you bought? Sounds like you bought the base version, but then modified for the Limited (added hole)?

I see three versions, which I understand as follows -

TO1095178 - Limited, Matte Black (~ $25)
TO1095176 - Limited, Dark Gray (~ $14)
TO1095174 - Base (no holes) (~ $9)

I was considering getting the middle version with the holes, and then painting it to ensure good longevity. Or maybe just spend the extra 9 bucks, and not have to worry about painting from the outset - only paint it if/when it fades.

I ended up finding a mint OEM valance at the junkyard for $13, so that's what I went with . I'll give it a coat of satin paint, and be back in business.
