Aftermarket Headlight Options

This has been discussed many times here and the only option for '06-09 is to bake your lights and open them to paint em black, you can add angel eyes and such at that time, but otherwise there are no aftermarket housings available.

The lights you posted (and the chrome ones) are the only lights aftermarket available for 4th gens at all.

I'm trying to find some aftermarket headlights for my 07 but all I can find are ones for 03-05. Any suggestions? I'd love something that looks like the Angel Headlights. Toyota 4Runner 2003-2006 Black Halo Projector Headlights W/LED'S by Spec-D - 2LHP-4RUN03JMB-TM

Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

I just ran across THESE on ebay. This is the first 06+ aftermarket (of course they're just painted black) headlights i've seen for our trucks. They should be a great option for people wanting to do the BHLM and get new, clean assemblies. I'm not sure of the quality but they're only $197 shipped vs ~$100 if you were to buy an OEM used set.

Wow those are pretty nice, I wonder if the cutoff is the same as the OEM proj

Please post a output pic with cutoff, i need comparethese to true retrofits.

You mean the ones I posted against our stock projectors? They wouldnt even compare to an actual true retrofit, of course you already know that. Just wondering what you're asking. They would be great to do a retrofit on though.

depo 03-05s

Assuming the lenses don't spiderweb at high temps like the Depo '03-05 on

I highly doubt a cheap knockoff will have a higher quality projector with better cutoff than the OEM ones, but it may be comparable.
Hey Matt since I just put some of those on (03-05s depo) any old posts that might have pics or explain that to me Thanks Mike

As long as you don't plan on doing the black headlight mod you should be fine, but I bought a pair for the mod and after I baked them the lenses looked like they had spider webs all over em.

If you look through some of the early pages of my build thread you can probably see a photo of what I'm talking about.

Nah I had a set of those too and they worked well for me. Sold em to another member but I can't remember for certain who... May have been trevloc.

I wouldn't try baking them for like a retrofit though.

If you are spending 200 for some new lights, spend another extra 100 and get a complete retrofit, a fxr retrofit will take some time to put in, but the end results are going to be the bomb compare to what you have.

To the op, just bake open original lights and paint yourself, if you want hid projector, its a good time to try the quick retro from thereteofitsource.com since you have the lights apart.

My very good friend Brian is in California. He owns SICK H.I.D.'S , check them out online. He will make you whatever you want , literally endless options. He uses the best parts and has a lifetime warrantee. He is one of the most meticulous and focused people I know, he taught me how to be an electrician years ago, and he taught me well.I don't have any personal gain from the reference, but if you call him and tell him Josh from Connecticut referred you he will def take care of you very well. He likes to use OEM headlights as a platform, either send him yours or he can get them for you and choose your custom work from a ton of examples on the website. Spread the word. His stuff is 100 times better than retrofit kits or eBay lights, I promise. Looking to get some for my truck soon too.

I see... I really did like the Halo headlight set up with the circle LEDs and the small bar across the top but I guess its a no go since it wont fit an 07 model. With the retrofit bulbs all I would have to do is bake the headlight and replace the bulb already inside? Difficulty level? I don't know too much about the small wiring and would probably just take it into my local shop. Appreciate all the answers guys. Thanks a lot!

the website dont state what projectors he use, im thinking he gets the parts from theretrofitsource.com

Call him and ask, I don't know where the hid s come from but I'm sure he would tell you. I think I remember him tell I g me he gets them from a specific manufacturer and he is set up as a dealer ?
