Aftermarket hood scoop..thoughts?

Saw this on the road today. I’m very interested in putting the hood scoop on my sr5p. Just don’t know we’re to get them.

Are you thinking about adding a functional hood scoop, or attaching a cosmetic one? The cosmetic type could be purchased on Amazon, eBay, or any automotive store. I don't care for these, but that would be the cheapest option, if you only want the look.

For a true scoop, you'd have to attach it and cut a hole in your current hood. Your other option would be to get a hood from a Trail, Off-Road, or Pro. I don't know how many cars get totaled without taking hood damage, but it's worth posting a WTB ad.

I'm definitely an :eyeroll: on this one but how is it any worse than the "real" hood scoop? Both are non functional and only for looks.

I second that....who cares if they are both non-functional hood scoops. If you like it, get it. Better than buying the hood!

You can buy an entire hood with the scoop on eBay. You can buy a scoop that will stick to your existing hood on amazon or JC Whitney.
