Anyone have a recommendation for an air compressor for trail use? I'm not terribly worried about speed, and im looking to stay under $200. Id prefer a cigarette outlet type pump.

Thanks

First what size tires are you trying to refill ? Second what is your reason for limiting yourself to a cigarette style plug in compressor? With alligator clips directly to the battery you are going to be able to run a more powerful compressor. That will directly relate to CFM air flow and thus the speed at which you re-inflate. FWIW I'm running this guy to refill my 37's , might be more than you need but it's solid so far ...

i'm using a smittybilt 5.65 cfm compressor. got it on sale at 4wheelparts for $112. works well and have done multiple vehicles back to back with 33s just fine.

I've got a $40 cheapie compressor from walmart. Been using it for over 4 years with no problems. Its not fast but gets the job done.

Spend just a bit more and get a Puma 12v unit, you can fill tires, maybe run some air tools for projects, and fill your tires. Bigger than most others, but a lot more bang for your buck too.
