Alignment issues on a TRDPro

Hey guys -

I figured I'd toss this one to the experts, and hopefully you can shed some insight. After I put 285s (KO2s) and the toytec leveling kit on the truck it seems to aggressively be pulling to the right. The shop did two alignments on it and said with was within spec. I also took it to Toyota and they said it could be tire pull, but the alignment looked fine. I swapped out the tire today and it still pulls right.

I've attached the last alignment sheet for you to check out. Any thoughts would help.

Alignment pulls to high camber and low caster. I wouldn't worry about the caster but I would either bring the right side camber more negative or make the left side more positive. I would pull in the right side camber.

The alignment numbers need to be balanced on each side. The numbers should be equally out of range or in range. Your camber numbers are not equal like they should be even though they are both in spec.

while the camber should be less of a split( and as is it would cause a pull to the right). I don't think that that alignment ( unless the steering wheel is off center) will cause a hard pull. try switching the 2 front tires and see if it changes anything

I'm with Scott@Hightech, that cross camber is a bit more than I would want; but not enough to cause a "hard pull".

Thanks a ton guys. I'm taking it into the shop tomorrow and will have them look at it again. I'll let you know what happens.

See what happens when they match the camber, It will most likely require the caster to drop on both sides....

It should drive straight, but might feel twitchy. If that is the case, aftermarket UCAs will help get the camber more + which will make it feel much less twitchy.

1. UCAs are a good thing but not required.
2. Without UCAs, you will have trouble making the printout look right but it will drive fine and you may not even notice it.
3. With 265s you may feel a bit twitchy but the 285s compensate for that feeling.

I have lifted 4, 5th gens now. I have driven with and without UCAs and you may not even notice.

I mean if you want UCAs you can get them, I don't see you really needing them with a leveling kit unless the 285's are rubbing on the UCAs which can happen with factory wheels.

I had a similar problem, ended being a tire issue. Identified by doing a tire rotatation and found the issue went away when the tire was moved to the back.

Here's the new alignment specs. It seemed to work. The car is a bit more twitchy, which I'm not mad about. Just an observation. Strangely enough the steering wheel vibrates from 47-51mph consistently, but that could be a tire issue.

If you want to eliminate the twitchy feel... UCAs are pretty much the only way to do it. I tolerated it for a while when i originally had it lifted... but then it got real old in high winds....

I just had mine done today and my numbers are about like yours. 16 TEP with Bilsteins 6112 on second groove. Seems to drive pretty good but now I have to figure out why the ride sucks so bad at around 70 mph.

wfo9 which UCAs did you get?

I originally got camburg BJ UCAs. They worked fine. I did change to TC uniballs down the road. I worried the BJs were going to fail with my style of wheeling and the fact that I had extended travel and pretty big and heavy tires.
