i just had my alignment done after my lift. a local shop did it and i didnt get any print outs or any info on it, however i have a very very very light shake in the wheel around 70-75. not sure if its alignment or the balance tho. its very minor but i too am worried about premature wear...
I don't have any shake, in fact the Runner drives very well. I think your issue maybe a balance problem since it's related to speed. I had the original alignment done at the shop that put my lift in. They didn't have the same machine the toyota dealer did. I think the toyota dealer has a better machine, well at least it had more blinking lights.

The UCA's will allow it to be lined up correctly. Coming up a little short on caster is fine and won't cause excessive tire wear. With a shortage of caster you may notice more of a tendancy for the vehicle to wander or track grooves in the road. Certaing tire designs exacerbate the wandering. If you are satisfied with the straightline stability then getting the UCA's is pretty much optional.
Caster is the forward or aft cant of the spindle (the piece that goes between the UCA and the LCA). Think of motorcycle forks, a chopper has a steep angle and goes straight very well. If the forks were straight up & down it would be unstable and the front wheel would offer little stabalizing effect... Sportbikes (designed to turn and respond quickly) have much more vertical forks.
The aftermarket UCAs do have a different shape provides a bit more clearnce for the tire while the wheel is fully cut. Any light rub you have now will be gone.
Again, if you're satisfied with the current driving characteristics don't worry about it... That's my 2cents

Hi Chris. The 4Runner does require more attention when driving on the highway. We had a Honda Pilot and that drove very smooth. I thought this was normal for the 4Runner because it was a truck, and not a modified van. It's not bad( the wandering) but just a bit noticeable. I guess I should have driven the 4Runner more than I did before the build. People ask me all the time how does the ride compare to the stock setup and I really have no idea. I bought the 4Runner, and 2days later started the build. All in all I

No kidding about the dust. In Florida we sometimes get a light coating of reddish dust on everything. It dust that's blown over from Africa!
