So is the rear bumper a dual swing away or is that one big arm? I need it to be split and I think Perkins is my only reasonable option at this point...

It's single. No reason I can't make it dual. I've done several dual swing out Tacoma rears

You will have to ask relentless. The exact setup shown will require notching of the rear frame cross-member for the high clearance trailer hitch.

Ohhhhhhhh.. Suppose I'd prefer a strict bolt-on version with no frame mods required. Guess I'll shoot them an email.

The normal version looks just the same except the hitch hangs down like the stock one.

I gave up and bought a CBI. I tried calling, email, PM, posting, submitting a request on the website, and leaving multiple voicemails. In the end I couldn't see working with a fabricator who I couldn't even get ahold of to hand my money.

I completely understand where you're coming from, although personally I'm inclined to cut these small fabricators a little slack (as I did with Jesse, the guy who built my bumper - mtn.runner on this board.)

Most of the time it's a small shop with one or two people, maybe a third person to answer the phones. These guys are master fabricators and great welders, but they are often out of their league when it comes to running a business - and that's not a knock on them, BTW, it's simply recognizing that running a business is a different skill set from being able to weld, fabricate and come up with ideas.

Also, for these guys it's usually feast or famine: Either they're so slammed with work that they're putting in 18 hour days and not getting a chance to check their email or phone, or else they're starved for work and trying to make money on the side so they can feed the baby and keep a roof over their head.

It's a tough life and I admire those people - many of them in their early 20's - who have the guts to take a chance and start their own business.

So keep up the good work, all you fabricators out there. My hat's off to ya! :yo:
