All weather Floor liners

Anybody here with a floor liner that has great coverage? I've seen reviews on the weathertechs, husky liners and 3D Max but I can't decide. I need help deciding, or toyota all weather good enough? Also does every all weather floor liners slippery? I think I've seen one and seem to not have grip for when you wear shoes, my husky cargo liner is slippery too so my cargo easily slides around in the cargo area. Thank you!

I personally love the factory all weather floor liners. OEM fit, plenty heavy duty, and call me cheesy but I like the logos. These were the first thing to go in the new 4Runner. Not slippery at all and they’ll hold a medium cup from Wendy’s volume worth of liquid… ask me how I know (DOH!)…

I can't complain the OEM mats. To be fair though, this will be my first winter with them. I don't know if they would hold over multiple winters better than some of the well-known competitors. Curious to see if anyone has stuck with the OEMs and live in a salt state like me.
 
I have the all weather floor mats like those pictured above, I also have the mat that covers the rear cargo area, I got them for free when I bought the vehicle, they were thrown in with the cross bars, or better way to say it included in the OTD price. I love them and New Hampshire is kind of a dirty state, snow, salt, mountains, oceans, unpaved roads etc. I have the all season Mercedes Benz mats in my wife's car and had them in my E-class (traded for 4Runner) and I'd swear they are contracted by the same factory. I just gave weather tech all seasons, not the normal ones you see on the add but the mud/snow ones to my step dad for Christmas and to feel them, weight, texture etc. I may even guess they're exactly the same. I like the person above enjoy the "4Runner" logo on the mats, which is repeated in the rear cargo area. the weather techs I also hear nothing but good reviews from, I would say either one you can't really go wrong.
 
I have WeatherTechs that came with my vehicle. They have great coverage and hold water well. I have mixed feelings about them in the winter. They do protect well and hold the crud in - but after a day of skiing I like to drive home wearing just my socks and if the WeatherTechs are full of water it doesn't work so well with a layer of melting ice in the bottom. OTOH, carpet floor mats usually have a pretty waterproof backing and soak up water. I drove a little Honda all the time for 20 years with just carpet floor mats and the carpet underneath stayed nice and no rust issues in the floor pans - though Colorado is so dry I'm not sure if that's a strong endorsement or not.

Anyway, ramble over - to answer your question the WeatherTechs are nice.
 
Does everyone's oem mats stay down well along the door sils? I have husky liners and not sure if they are curling cuz they suck or from the az heat? After 2 summers I keep catching my shoe when getting in

"SLIPPERY WHEN WET" - The road in winter that is.

I have the Weathertech mats. They rise up farther over the carpeting than the OEM Toyota mats pictured above. Especially in the back seat area. You need good containment when climbing in from the snowy outdoors, mud or sand. The Weathertech have saved my carpets from all of these. When I wash the interior I always take them out and hose them off and I'm always amazed at how much gritty dirt get's in the car.

Those Toyota mats look good though.

I've never noticed them to be slippery. They have a rough textured pattern that grips.

I have the weathertech brand. They aren't slippery. They look and work pretty good. They are a bit thin, but I've never had any issues with them.


I've never seen the OEM ones before, those look pretty nice. Wish I had a set of those now.....
 
Those American OEM floor mats do look nice.

We do our OEM all-weather floor mats a little different up here in Canada. Picture is of our 5th Gen all-weather mats. I had similar mats to these in my 03 4Runner as well, and they worked just fine for all of our snowy conditions and are not slippery. Did not hesitate to get them for my 2011 4Runner.

And don't get me started on our different cargo area mats ;)

I have the 3D MAXpider in my 2016 and they have been great for 20k miles. I’ve had them in previous vehicles too. I think they are priced well for the quality you get. AutoAnything usually has pretty good deals on them.

Got the same set from Amazon. For me, I prefer the 3DMaxpider over the Husky Liners, which I currently have on a Venza.
 
I have the husky lines and love them. I also have the OEM floor liners but will just use those in the summer. The husky liners cover better. I'm OCD and the OEM all weather mat for the driver doesn't go up far enough under the gas pedal. So.... when you get in and you have mud or snow/sand/salt all over your shoe, and you use the gas pedal, everything falls from your shoe all over the carpet under the gas pedal. The salt up here stains the carpet.
 
All Weather Mats

I have WeatherTech in my wife's Mazda CX-5 and Husky in my 2015 T4R. I like the Husky the best - the spikes on the bottom keep the mats from moving at all. The plastic/rubber is easier to clean than the WeatherTech. Plus the Husky offer a little more coverage. I do however prefer the OEM cargo liner. The OEM liners just seem to fit better than most aftermarket.

Good info and great pics.

SO ordered wrong set for me and when I went to reorder I was torn between the WeatherTech and OE. Ended up getting the OE and they arrive today.

+1 here. These came in my '17 TRDORP and I love them. I got a set for my girlfriend's '15 Limited for about $100-110 shipped. They are a huge improvement to the crappy all weather mats that can on the '15s.

They work amazing and they are the cheapest option out there. There is no reason to spend big money for name brand mats.

I have the Husky WeatherBeaters. After doing a lot of research and owning WeatherTechs in the past on my Titan, I chose the Huskys over the WeatherTechs for a few reasons:

1) The WeatherTech's are more plastic than rubber. The Huskys are more rubbery.
2) When the WeatherTechs get wet, they are really slippery the channels do nothing for traction. The Huskys are not as slippery when wet, plus the channels help with traction.
2) The Huskys are molded so it keeps the water in the mat and have ribs that keep your feet out of the water. With the WeatherTechs, there really is no place for water to sit. All the water rolls out the door.
3) On the front driver's side, the Huskys go a bit further up the firewall and cover the deadpedal more than the WeatherTechs.
4) The rear mats are similar to the fronts. Larger area for water to gather, big ribs and more coverage.

Look at pictures and head over to your local off-road store and see what you like.
 
the husky are not that much expensive compared to the oem floor mats if your in the market for one, obviously if oem can be had when you purchased the car of course that's way better.. I have the husky cargo liner and so far it's head and shoulders above the carpet floor mats
