Almost lost the 4Runner - Blown Brake Line - Stainless Steel Recomendations?

Yuck, I will definitely have to remove the wheels to take a peak. Thanks for the heads up. On my car today I had to replace the master cylinder, bench bleed it, replace the brake line, then bleed all 4 calipers - what a headache. I hope the genuine OEM rubber stuff isn't too expensive for just 3. SS would be nice but I like to keep my truck completely stock.
damn that's crazy.. so how common is a broken or cracked brake line malfunction on these toyotas...
I have never checked or looked at brake line inspections. How do these factory brake lines last before they crack or go bad...or how often should anybody replace them..

Considering the forces the brake lines contain and the life cycle they go through it is impressive they are holding up for +20 years. It is very cheap insurance to swap the lines before having an "oh crap" moment when trying to stop.

There are only 3, and just replace them. Mine were in Terrible condition after 20 years:
I used the Stoptech ss braided lines. Just replaced lines on my wifes 66 Bug, they were from 2007 and were similarly cracked/failing and that vehicle hasn't seen 10k miles in that time.
I’m happy to read that people are using the StopTech lines, and that they’re not a Chinese/eBay low-quality product. I have 4 StopTech lines that I’m waiting for warm weather to install.
Like another poster, I have used ss lines on motorcycles for years, but never on a car/truck.
