Alternative to 5th Gen TRD Pro Wheels - Replika Wheels?

My 2011 Limited has the oem 20 inch wheels, with Michelin Premier LTX 245/60r20 tires. I've had these tires on for just over 2 years, and they have done a pretty good job year round.

I'm now considering buying a dedicated set of winter rims/tires, and very much like the look of the TRD Pro 17 inch black rims. Moving down to a 17 inch rim also gives me many more options when it comes to winter tires.

The Toyota oem TRD Pro rims (PTR20-35110-BK) are quite expensive (much like all oem parts, compared to aftermarket), so those are out of my price range.

I've also read about many of you going to the FX PRO wheel (from FN Wheels). Unfortunately, I am not able to find a dealer in Ontario (wanting to avoid shipping costs).

Then I stumbled upon the Replika R123 wheel that is made in Canada and has local (to me) dealers. And the price is certainly right.

If you shop around you'll find that OEM TRD Pro wheels aren't that much more expensive. I think in the end I ended up paying less than $100 more for a set (lowest OEM vs. Lowest knockoff)

I don't have experience with the company you're asking about. The standard for production of replica wheels on this forum is definitely the FNs you mentioned. Here's a link to a post made by the owner of that business about his wheels http://www.toyota-4runner.org/2008365-post658.html

The wheels you're considering have somewhat similar specs. You may consider calling/emailing Replika and asking for the wheel certifications plus any warranty/guarantee they offer.

Other than price, the only advantage these wheels have is their width which will safely accommodate many more tire models than the 7" OEM wheels. That said, if you find used OEM wheels at an acceptable price, there are plenty of options out there for winter tires.

Keep an eye out on local buy sell trade sites. Somebody is always selling a set of Toyota wheels. Just make sure you don’t get a 16” wheel

My apologies as well. I didn't realize the international aspect was part of the equation.

I looked at replicas and started researching, but when I figured out I could get OEM for nearly the same price, I opted for the OEM.

Just FYI, when I went to mount and balance, the OEM wheels weren't as quality as one might hope. One wheel took over 4 ounces and the installer assured me it looked like the wheel vs. the BFGK02 he was mounting. Slight "wobble" to it.

Maybe that happened in shipping (they don't exactly package them with a lot of cushioning and delivery companies nowadays absolutely suck when it comes to not abusing packages).

I decided to pass on the Replika wheels.

Had a chance to grab some used FN Wheels FX Pro rims in grey, but someone else grabbed them up before I could close the deal.

But, I ended up getting these 2018 TRD Off-Road take-offs with zero miles (or kilometers in my Canadian case).

I love these wheels. I'm happy with the stock look of the Trail/Offroad wheels. You don't see as many on the road and they accommodate 285s, which was a plus in my book.

Yes, these TRD Off-Road wheels are growing on me. I was happy to be able to find a Toyota oem set of wheels, and the 7.5 inch rim width helps with tire choices. Will make my Limited look quite unique around town.

I'll have my 2018 TRD wheels like above for sale soon. Less than 2k miles and perfect. Just waiting for the replacements.

I know a lot of folks don't like the later one with the black in them. I prefer the all silver too. But if you're gonna plastidip black these are way nicer because the inside of the wheel is already coated.
