Meh, that's not indicative of anything when it comes to your average daily driver.

They also do OEM builds and a lot more parts in high altitude engines are worn less allowing him to reuse parts more often. Like OEM valves and stuff.
 
I can buy the less engine wear thing for the same reason they sell 85 octane at high altitude and nowhere else in the country. High altitude = less air density = more knock and detonation resistance. I've never heard of that phenomenon, but I can think of one reason why it may be more than just an anecdote.
 
Nice. How is nau? Picked the school mostly Because I like the area a lot and I'm looking for good wheeling lol... Have you enjoyed the school so far?

NAU is a good school. I am more here for the surrounding area though. Wheeling is great. Forest roads all around, then rocks 30 min south in Sedona.

Still a big meh from me. I worked in the machine shop that was owned by the now head machinist for the Furniture Row race team and have torn apart hundreds of small block Chevys used in the Denver area. There are way too many other variables like maintenance, driving style and loads the engine was subjected to that negate any type of conclusion that you could ever attribute to difference in altitude. Any contribution from altitude would be negligible in comparison and certainly not measurable unless you can rule the other contributing factors out.
