Well to be fair, the prices of just about everything in Seattle are outrageously high for no reason, cars certainly cost a lot more up there than down here.

There must be a bucket of consumers with a lot of money (somehow) and the combined IQ of a pigeon.

Here in So. Cal when I was looking for a new 4Runner, I was kinda shocked. When I bought in 2008 (a lease return 2006 model), I was able to save a pretty decent amount. Now that gas prices are down, all the used 4Runners are so close to the price of new ones, it just doesn't make sense to buy used (unless you want a limited).

I was interviewing with Amazon in Seattle and they didn't even balk at $200K a year plus benefits and stock options due to the high cost of living. Lots of hipsters with full pockets and bong in hand. layball:

No matter what state, there is a trend. People who try to sell cars on Craigslist don't seem to understand or know market value.

That seems to be the status quo now. In my Austin neighborhood places you could not give away 10-15 years ago are now going for 8x to 10x those prices. The new build quality is low too. Too much demand and too little over site is compromising everything. The sad thing is people are giddy as hell and have no clue.
