another guess that noise thread

So I'm having a hard time pinpointing this noise. Its also hard to describe. It sounds like metal on metal but its more of a squeak almost. It is coming from the front end most likely passenger side. Its such a slight sound though it almost sounds like rubber on metal and it gets slower with speed. Kind of like a belt squeak lol I have no idea how to explain it better.

I can't find any sort of part rubbing or any clearance issues. I haven't messed with anything other than fog lights so I'm not sure what it could be.

I wish I could explain better but that's all I've got.

The folds of the CV axles can rub, giving you the slightest "squeak" sound... possibility? It's all I got for ya

Its been pretty cold over night, high teens, and moisture has came in so there is fog in the mornings along with some ice.

And........the airport is "seeding"? Maybe I'm retarded but I've never heard of this until yesterday. Apparently they drop dry ice in the air to break up the fog and it leaves this white crap all over the ground. And all over your car.

interesting. But probably not it. Does it go away after driving for a bit or in other words warms up?

I've got torn cv boots that now allow the joints to freeze up over night and at first I thought it was the hub bearings but those are fine.

Yours probably aren't torn but stuff will freeze up everywhere especially if you wash the car and park outside.

It's actually opposite. It doesn't happen until its warmed up and have been driving for a little bit.
