Just bought my second 4Runner. The first (1988, 4WD, SR5, 3.0 V6) I bought new in 1988 and drove for many many miles on and off road. A few weeks ago it was stolen, so I went out and bought another slightly newer one (1990, 4WD, SR5, 3.0 V6, manual shift, 33x12.50 ProComp Mud Terrain tires). I eventually got the stolen one back, more or less vandalized (I'll be selling it or parting it out, engine is nearly new, running gear all OK, the damage is mostly cosmetic). Happy to report that the individuals responsible will be spending the next several years as involuntary guests of the California penal system.
