another Light bar question...

For those of you that have light bars mounted on roof racks, I was wondering if you had any glare from your light off of your hood? I recently was reading that there was glare from light bars mounted on top of your truck?

I have a Rola roof rack and wanted to mount my 30" DDM tuning light bar to the rack, but if the glare off the hood is bad I may not stick it up top...

Depends on how far back you mount the rack, and hence, the bar. I have a small rack mounted fairly far back with a light bar on it, and get no glare whatsoever. It just happens to be the perfect distance back that my roof blocks the glare but allows the light to hit the ground a useable distance in front of my truck.
My buddy has one mounted directly over his windshield on his third gen and needed to fashion a plate for underneath the bar to block the light from glaring off his hood.

I don't have a glare on my hood but it's mounted back a little bit and behind the window defuser which probably helps deflect the light away from the hood.

The optical quality of the light bar will also impact the amount of glare perceived. Generally, cheap light bars don't control the light output as well as well made ones.
