Hey ladies and gents,

Just wanted to introduce myself, picked up a new 2015 TEP w/ KDSS last week. Coming from a long line of cars and couldn't love the truck any more than I do. Already used the forums to help me make a handful of mods to include HID's, Weathertechs, cargo liner, Suntek front clear bra, LED bulbs, TRDP wheels, etc etc. Running stock height and tires until I can figure out what suspension I want/need. Cheers and enjoy the pics.

Any T4R love out in Dallas?

Joseph

Congrats on the new rig! I hear ya on loving the 4Runner. My first one was such a good experience. After 13 years of the '99, sold it... regretted it... spent 2 years without one, had to come back to it! Just feels right! I bought my TRD on 75 near 635. Where did you get yours?

Hey jichoe love the new ride!! Which dealer did you go through ?

Went through Toyota of Dallas off 635 and 35. Put in a contact request through USAA and the phone exploded with calls the next day. Great price and had a TEP with KDSS equipped. I went right next door to their TRD parts dept and picked up the wheels and had them installed the same day.

Loved the TRDP but didn't have any luck getting my hands on one. Cancelled the order last week and picked up the TEP in white. Haven't looked back since.

Any good trails around here?

Welcome to the forum. I also purchased through Toyota of Dallas and have been relatively pleased with their service. They seem to be the only area dealer who brings in TE's. They built my rig three years ago and did a good job.

That's great... I was just in there a few months ago. Glad they hooked you up! Big D is my old stomping grounds. Work in Vegas now, so bought there and drove back. Not sure about trails there... been gone too long, but I'm back a couple times a year for quick visits. Is 635 finally done over by the dealership?

It seems they have a decent aftermarket selection with a separate TRD parts department. I asked about their aftermarket support and labor but prices are steep, I think I would rather do the labor myself...shrug.

Not even close, they seem to have started over. From my understanding, they are building a over/under bypass highway system. Should be nice when it's done but 635 is under construction from 35 all the way to the 75 area.

Love the white/black combo on these new one's! I live in Dallas as well. Hopefully I will be picking my new TRD PRO Super White 4Runner at the dealership this weekend. I went thru USAA as well and had my phone ringing off the hook immediately. I ended up purchasing mine at Cowboys Toyota off I-30 and 635. They offered the best price and trade-in for my 2013 Tundra.

Best of luck to you. The only Pro I was able to find in the area had a 2k markup on it. Most of the USAA guys were unable to find me the Pro let alone the TEP with KDSS. I know Toyota of Dallas had a black one on hand last weekend, maybe you could give them a call if Cowboys Toyota falls through. Let me know and I'll get you in touch with the people that helped me out in getting me mine.

My black TRD came in on Saturday but I won't be able to pick it up until next Monday. I had a little addition made to it that was installed today. Headed out of the country for a week. I can hardly wait!!! I'll post pics after I pick it up and am done driving it all over the city! We should definitely get a crew together for a day trip ASAP.

Sorry, must have missed this post earlier.
jichoe , so let me understand this - they had your TE w/KDSS on their lot at Toy of Dallas? This is news to me if the Gulf States is now ordering the TE's with KDSS for the region! Perhaps I won't have to be taking a long road trip for KDSS later this year after all.

Congrats on your truck, and so much love for the T4R in Dallas, you should just a feel a little more special as so many around here are 2WD.
